I do have an option for you to transport bikes but you cannot use a trunk mount bike rack on a convertible, usually due to the configuration of the deck lid and lack of support. The RockyMounts # RKY10003 MonoRail bike rack you'd looked at is indeed only rated for a Class II hitch, and not a Class I, due to the lower capacity of the Class I hitch. Therefore, I wouldn't recommend using it.
